@GRASS-ROOTS.org
"@GRASS-ROOTS.ORG tells the stories of the most innovative grassroots programs in the United States and the local heroes who've found effective ways to build their communities, fix what's broken and make them better."

ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now)
"ACORN®, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, is the nation's largest community organization of low and moderate-income families, with over 150,000 member families organized into 700 neighborhood chapters in 51 cities across the country. Since 1970 ACORN® has taken action and won victories on issues of concern to our members. Our priorities include: better housing for first time homebuyers and tenants, living wages for low-wage workers, more investment in our communities from banks and governments, and better public schools. We achieve these goals by building community organizations that have the power to win changes -- through direct action, negotiation, legislation, and voter participation."

NW Federation of Community Organizations
"The Northwest Federation of Community Organizations (NWFCO) is a regional organization comprised of four well-established statewide citizen action organizations – Idaho Community Action Network (ICAN), Montana People’s Action (MPA), Oregon Action (OA), and Washington Citizen Action (WCA), whose mission is to strengthen state-based community organizations and to execute regional campaigns that address social and economic inequities."

Community Technical Assistance Center (PA)
"Our goal is to develop strong communities by providing technical assistance to neighborhood groups, tenant councils, community-based organizations and community development corporations in Southwestern Pennsylvania."

Southeast Uplift Neighborhood Program (OR)
"Southeast Uplift Neighborhood Program is a non-profit coalition of 20 neighborhoods in southeast and northeast Portland south of Interstate 84. We provide free technical assistance in citizen participation, community development, organizing and urban planning."

Highlander Center
"The Highlander Center works with grassroots leaders on a wide variety of social concerns, including:

- Civil and Human Rights

- Criminal Justice Reform
- Economic Justice and Workers' Rights
